Students

MIN originated as a student capstone project in ESTEEM. Every subsequent project has been powered in part by the dedication of student interns from across undergraduate majors and the ESTEEM program who have performed essential tasks ranging from interviewing displaced migrants, to surveying market conditions, to networking with alumni, and more.

These roles expose students to some of the most crucial problems in the world and perhaps more importantly directly to the individuals who experience them. For example, students in MIN have met in-person with recently-arrived Afghan families to hear their stories and needs first-hand, and spoken live via Zoom with Ukrainians in Ukraine and Poland.

As our network grows and more campus research partners are engaged, we will continue to rely on student interns. We also hope to offer more formal student research projects in collaboration with our research partners and their own relevant coursework and programs.

If you are a current Notre Dame student – graduate or undergraduate, in any program or discipline – and are interested in becoming involved in this work, please reach out to us. We often have multiple opportunities available, including paid part-time internships.
